Lead Architect/Architectural Designer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Architecture or the equivalent in education/experience.
• 5+ years of in-office experience.
• Strong Revit skills a must 5+ years experience.
• Experience with SketchUp, In Design, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Bluebeam.
• Technical production skills are necessary and require demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documents.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques a plus.
• Restaurant/Commercial design experience a plus.
• Strong organizational, management, design, graphic, and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to self manage and manage others for multiple project assignments from start to finish.
• Detailed Oriented, Motivated, and Optimistic Spirit.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in and/or manage all phases of the design process, from conceptual studies to construction documents, directing and producing accurate work as a part of a coordinated project team.
• Provide direction and motivation to the design team, and collaborate with Principal Architect.
• Review of shop drawings per project specifications and drawings review and respond to requests for information (RFIs), Architectural Supplemental Instructions (ASIs).
• Construction Document production in Revit(must be proficient in Revit).
• Research of building materials and systems, building codes, regulations, etc.
• Develop details that are consistent with the design direction, and support the overall quality of the project.
• Coordinate disciplines including Structural, MEP, Civil, Fire Protection and Landscaping.
• Compile and submit permits.
• Responsible for overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm's strategic priorities.
• Documenting client communications as needed.
• Understand time management and utilize project management tools.
