Job Title: Junior HR Transactions Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time

Duties:

  • Input and verify new hire documents in the USA Staffing system to support onboarding processes
  • Review pre-employment forms for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal requirements before submission to the Security and Medical Departments
  • Calculate service computation dates (SCDs) in line with OPM guidelines, verify eligibility for benefits, and follow up on suspense actions
  • Process a variety of personnel actions using SF-52s (Request for Personnel Actions) and SF-50s (Notification of Personnel Action), ensuring compliance with federal regulations
  • Coordinate entry-on-duty (EOD) dates and prepare offer letters, employment-related correspondence, and orientation materials
  • Conduct new employee orientations, presenting onboarding information and providing one-on-one counseling as needed
  • Maintain personnel files in the eOPF system and update the HC Dashboard accurately and on time

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of federal HR processing requirements, including coding and processing personnel actions
  • Proficiency with USA Staffing, National Finance Center (NFC) systems, eOPF, EmpowHR, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively manage documentation

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of coding federal personnel actions, including Nature of Action codes and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with a range of HR support services, including classification, compensation, and performance management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat for document creation and management
