Job Description:
As a Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics operations for the SAOC program. You will also offer subject matter expertise in the creation and evaluation of necessary plans and documentation related to the establishment of the SAOC program, with a primary emphasis on Contract Logistics Support. This includes developing plans such as the Mission Essential Contractor Plan (MECP) and the Operational/Site Activation Phased Support Plan (SAPSP), among others. Additionally, you will participate in Charrettes and design reviews as requested by the Government or the Prime Contractor.
Who You Are and What You Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience is desired
- Minimum of 10 years' experience utilizing CLS and AF Supply and DoD manuals
- Inventory logistics management familiarization preferred
- Minimum of 10 years Supply Chain experience in related field including two (2) years of mid-level organizational, project-level administration or support
- Ability to effectively manage assigned office communications, contracts, and administration, using all available Supply Chain tools to maximize support to managers, supervisors or associated project activities at all levels of responsibility
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel to CONUS locations for meetings and site visits as required by customer needs
What You Will Do:
- Implement, maintain, and sustain DoD supply chain processes, logistics activities and associated governing directives.
- Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.
- Develop Local Support Procedures (LSP) processes in alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain management, Defense logistics Agency (DLA) regulations, and associated governing directives needed at the MOB.
- Build relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues.
- Develop a warehouse storage facility to support, sustain and modify specialty aircraft, Material handling system, Material handling equipment, any additional requires support equipment and components.
- Develop Local processes in alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain management, Defense logistics Agency (DLA) regulations, and associated governing directives.
- Understand and become expert at RAMCO supply chain management system for warehouse management/procurement/repairs etc.
- Analyze repair cycles, LG effectiveness, production discrepancies, spares needs, demand rates, in/out stock requirements, retail/wholesale logistics and shipping processes.
- Schedule, monitor, and supervise administrative, contract and project support.
- Implement procedures for control of documentation, regulatory guidance/instructions/directives, correspondence, and action items generating correspondence, presentations, charts, and diagrams directly supporting effective project LG/Supply Chain administration, goals, and compliance.
- Resolve LG issues/problems and recommends process improvements ensuring timely completion of complex activities, with general direction.
- Assist and advise the Program Management Office (PMO), Program Engineer (PE), and Accountable Property Officer (AO) with all matters relating to the government's existing and future contracts.
- Draft/ implement a Logistics Support Plan (LSP) to establish guidelines, standards, and requirements.
- Author and submit LSP changes (ILC - interim change letter) to the AO to establish requirements, process improvements, and provides clarity for the government and contractors.
- Oversee and approve new buy spares, repairs, dispositions, and sustainment of Government Furnished Property (GFP) for multiple off-site locations and contractor personnel.
- Conduct annual logistics audit to ensure prime contractor and subtractor meet contractual obligations including loan accounts.
- Analyze and approve part spares levels annually to meet mission tempo.
- Assist in developing standardization across the CLS programs.
- Technically evaluate the Basis of Estimate (BOE) and provides assessment to the PMO.
- Review monthly PO reports to ensure material are purchased and received for the correct WBS and accounted for in the appropriate accountability management system
