Job Summary:
PrideStaff is seeking a motivated Desktop Support Technician with 1-2 years of experience to join our IT team in a temporary, full-time, in-office role. This position requires U.S. citizenship and involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to both in-office users and remote work-from-home employees. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and a strong customer service focus.
Supporting imaging equipment for Government Contract for FEMA.
Location: Charlotte, NC 28273
Pay rate - $25/hr.
40 hour work week
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for both office-based and remote users.
Perform PC setups, software installations, and updates.
Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and basic networking tasks.
Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Qualifications:
U.S. citizen.
Must be able to pass a background check from FEMA.
1-2 years of experience in desktop support or a related IT role.
Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work Schedule:
This is a 40-hour work week position, including one weekend day. Flexibility in schedule is required to accommodate the weekend shift.
Work Environment:
This is an in-office role, requiring hands-on support for office users and remote assistance for work-from-home employees. The position may involve lifting and carrying computer equipment and working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
