Pricing Analyst
Location: Burlington, North Carolina In Person (NOT REMOTE)
Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Data Analyst to join a fast-paced, efficient Finance team. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. To be considered for this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases. This position focuses on pricing, margin analyses, and financial performance monitoring, ensuring the company's financial and pricing strategies are optimized.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
- Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time
- Track and analyze key financial metrics, preparing regular reports and dashboards for senior management. Identify and explain variances between actual and forecasted financial performance.
- Conduct detailed analyses of pricing strategies and their impact on sales, revenue, and profitability. Develop models to predict pricing outcomes and recommend adjustments to optimize pricing.
- Analyze commodity markets, and implement trends into variable pricing models
- Develop financial forecasts and conduct trend analysis to anticipate market changes and their impact on pricing and margins.
- Evaluate product and service margins, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Provide insights to support cost management and margin enhancement initiatives.
- Analyzing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in data analysis and financial reporting. Implement best practices and automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned by Accounting Manager and Senior Director of Finance.
Preferred Requirements:
- B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience
- Experience with business intelligence software/platforms
- Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
- Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets to find solutions
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organized
