CCTV/Access Control Security/Low Voltage Installation Engineer/Technician
CCTV/Access Control Security/Low Voltage Security Service Engineer/Technician
Eye P Video Systems is a small and personal company with established clientele, specializing in cutting edge tech for IP based physical security. We provide security solutions for hospitals, schools, police stations, and commercial buildings in the New England area. Clients come to us for consulting services, system design, integration, and support for CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, and IP network systems.
The owner has been involved in the industry for decades, and will be accessible, working with you in a relaxed, non-corporate environment. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Low voltage class C or D license
- Licensed in MA
- 5-10 years experience as an Installation or Security Service Technician, which includes a strong understanding of commercial CCTV/Access/IP Video equipment
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid Driver s License
- OSHA-10 Certification
- Must pass a background check
- Capable of carrying items up to 50lbs
- Able to use a ladder or rental lift up to 30ft in the air
- Preference given to those with certifications such as MCSE, A+, CCNA, Network+, NICET, EST, NTS/NBFAA, SIA, RCDD, and with working knowledge of software house, AMAG, Lenel, Axis, Exacq product solutions
JOB COMPONENTS
- Routine Expectations
- Plan and schedule system integration and start-ups
- Assess new equipment for installation and adjust as necessary to ensure the system is operational, and then execute the design
- Respond to customer service calls as needed for routine or emergency issues
- Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimum performance and safety of equipment through inspection, calibration, and cleaning
- Troubleshoot and problem solve with critical thinking skills to diagnose and repair malfunctioning alarm system hardware, video surveillance equipment, intrusion detection systems, and Access Control
- Work efficiently in a timely manner to thoroughly complete projects to avoid call-backs
- Discern and evaluate which methods, equipment, techniques, and criteria are necessary for producing accurate and functional results based on past experience
- Rely on experience and common sense, but proactively seek assistance from senior staff if unsure about a unique situation
- Prioritize safety and confidentiality by creating a secure work environment
- Communication Skills - Customer Rapport and Working with the Team
- Provide technical support on-site by answering questions/concerns
- Articulate the process and consult clearly and patiently toward customer satisfaction
- Foster strong customer relations through attentive communication to retain business
- Promptly complete detailed and accurate customer service reports for invoicing
- Consistently relay necessary project status information to relevant team members
- Call and walk through technical issues with team regarding installations
- Update web-based work order and project management software daily
