Position Title: Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 12 months (expected)

Pay Rate Range: $58.35/hr to $70/hr

Location: Lansing, MI, US (On-site, must be on-site 2-3 days a week)

Start Date: 11/18/2024

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, strong expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Linux Azure Architecture. This position involves designing and implementing cloud IT solutions, providing leadership, and ensuring the success of cloud projects. The Azure Cloud Engineer will engage customers early to understand their challenges and provide guidance throughout their cloud journey.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor team members, owning the overall design and success of cloud engagements.

Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide best practice guidance for their cloud transformation.

Create High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) related to areas of expertise.

Design and implement cloud IT solutions (Azure) and services, providing feedback for improvement.

Implement and manage Identity Access Management Controls, Monitoring, Logging and Reporting, Configuration Hardening, and Logical Segmentation.

Develop project support documentation, including procedural documents for implemented systems as required by scope.

Provide technical oversight and second-level support for other architects and engineers.

Required Skills and Experience

3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering.

Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Strong background as a Linux Azure Architect.

Experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

General Skills (Nice to Have)

Advanced skills in Azure.

Additional proficiency in Terraform.

Work Environment

On-site work required 2-3 days per week in Lansing, MI.

Candidates must be available for W-2 employment.

Work permits accepted: US Citizen, Green Card, Green Card-EAD

Employment type: W-2 or 1099
