CONTENT / INFO ARCHTECT / TAXONOMY EXPERT - JOB DESCRIPTION: - The individual in this role will help lead the planning, design, and assessment of enterprise content and taxonomy across various systems to support integration with Microsoft Viva + Copilot + M365 ecosystem.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - Define and implement gaps in current taxonomies and practices to support enterprise integration with M365/Viva/Copilot
- Provide best practice for tagging and metadata to support SEO, dynamic content delivery models, site search, and analytics.
- Collaborate with analytics team to analyze site usage and metrics reports and make suggestions on how taxonomy and tagging can inform better analytics.
- Contribute and guide content management best practices (metadata capture, tagging practice, control vocabulary library).
- Serve as resource to content management teams in editorial process, metadata implementation, content tagging, content re-use.
- Drive continuous improvements on IA processes, models, and taxonomy.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: - 6+ years of experience in a similar role (taxonomist, IA, knowledge engineer)

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Demonstrated knowledge of controlled vocabularies, classification, data mapping, ontologies (relationship of terms), and taxonomies (hierarchy).
- Experience assessing user needs (through use cases, journey maps, evaluation of analytics data, and UX research), developing sitemaps, doing content audits, creating metadata maps, and structuring content.
- Experience analyzing large volumes of data from analytics tools (Adobe Analytics) and multiple databases, and making data-driven decisions to define navigation, product assortment, and increased discoverability.
- Solid understanding of user experience, search engine optimization (SEO), information architecture, knowledge organization, metadata, and descriptive cataloging.
- Proven ability to create, develop, and manage taxonomies for complex enterprise orgs with cross-functional business partners and multiple digital properties
- Logical and analytical, with a strong attention to detail and adherence to overall strategy, as well as good communication skills and the ability to influence others.
- Proven experience managing complex matrices and processes
- Strong focus on process improvement and quality
- Strong collaboration within large, complex organizations
- Ability to conceptualize business problems, execute solutions, and present findings in a simple manner
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with CMS and Analytics tools/platforms a plus
- Master s degree in information management or library science a plus
