Position Location:

ES3 s office in Midwest City, Oklahoma is located near Tinker Air Force Base. You will be apart of continuing growth of our presence in this region and with our customers in this region of the US. Midwest City, Oklahoma is centrally located and provides family friendly living and many opportunities for university, government, and business teaming. The Midwest City Assistant Director will report the ES3 Director of Midwest Operations in Midwest City, Oklahoma and function in an onsite role. The position will not be designated as remote. Position Description, Highlights, and Activities:

ES3 is seeking a highly qualified individual who will support the existing director at this well-established ES3 location, focused on business development with Department of Defense (DoD) customers, perform research necessary to support business development, write contract proposals and manage aerospace related engineering projects.

The primary responsibilities of this dynamic role include:

  • Identify market opportunities with DoD and commercial customers.
  • Expand and strengthen existing DoD and commercial relationships.
  • Write contract proposals and work with ES3 proposal teams for support.
  • Periodically attend conferences and trade shows to keep a pulse on industry needs and developing technologies while presenting ES3 capabilities and accomplishments.
  • Contribute to a work culture that is pleasant, productive, respectful, and responsive.
  • Apply engineering expertise in management of project oversight.
  • Assist with ensuring day-to-day operations align to strategic plans.
  • Nurture a good working relationship with ES3 s other facilities California, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah that is pleasant, integrated, and mutually beneficial.

Candidate Skills & Capabilities Required:

  • Recent engineering and material science experience associated with gas turbine engines and specifically with United States Air Force engines.
  • Recent experience managing teams performing engineering analysis and support of gas turbine engines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of additive manufacturing and 3D printing associated with gas turbine engines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Flexible and able to pivot when priorities change.
  • Respectful of ES3, customer, and supplier confidential and sensitive information.
  • Well-organized regarding work, communication, and schedules.
  • Dependable, reliable, and pleasant to work with.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical/Aerospace Mechanical Engineering.
  • Master of Science in Aviation Administration and Logistics is preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years experience in DoD aerospace engineering areas of failure analysis, propulsion engineering, engineering management.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
  • As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and must able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance as required.
  • This position requires minimum-to-moderate travel estimated as needed.
