Job Summary
The Ellison Institute of Technology is seeking a talented and passionate Organic Chemist, Drug Discovery to join its team. As part of EIT, the primary purpose of this position is to advance and diversify EIT's therapeutic portfolio by leveraging specialized chemistry expertise in drug discovery and development. This role will collaborate closely with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to develop and implement synthesis and toxicology protocols, engage in novel drug discovery projects, and integrate AI-driven methodologies to enhance the efficiency and innovation of our drug development processes.
Job Accountabilities:
Required Education: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field with extended 5-7 years of experience in organic synthesis, with a strong focus on drug discovery and development

Salary: $74,998-$101,418

- Collaboration with CROs: Work closely with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to develop and implement protocols for synthesis and toxicology testing, ensuring that all drug development activities meet high standards of quality and compliance.
- Leverage Computational Methods and Modeling AI-Assisted Virtual Screens: Utilize computational techniques and molecular modeling to refine AI-generated compound libraries, enhancing virtual screening processes and identifying promising candidates for synthesis and further testing.
- Design Novel Compounds: Develop and execute plans for the design, synthesis, and testing of new compounds, including small molecules, RNA, and proteins, to support drug discovery projects.
- Collaborate closely with Cross-Functional Teams to Enable Drug Discovery: Integrate chemistry expertise to enhance the efficiency and innovation of drug discovery processes, contributing to the advancement and diversification of EIT's therapeutic portfolio.
