Health Economics Analyst Full Time Remote

In the role, you will support the Medical Economics team by analyzing key business issues related to cost, utilization, and revenue across our health products, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid. Your insights and recommendations will drive decision-making and help us improve product performance and manage medical cost trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the financial performance of all products, identifying cost and utilization trends, and recommend improvements.
- Deliver executive-level presentations to communicate findings and build support for needed changes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of claims data to identify actionable cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide data-driven analytics to teams like Medical Management, Network, and others to support critical decision-making.
- Lead projects focused on reducing medical and provider costs, including the development and presentation of financial reports.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, developing financial models to evaluate the impact of provider reimbursement changes.
- Develop and automate reports that track provider-level cost trends and make recommendations to internal teams.
- Lead the Healthcare Management Reporting process, analyzing P&L performance and contributing to enterprise-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or relevant experience in lieu of degree).
- Minimum of 8 years of healthcare or managed care experience, with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Medical Cost Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in Medical Cost Management, including financial modeling and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large healthcare data sets, including knowledge of SAS and/or SQL.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and analyze complex reports.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare financial terms (cost, utilization, PMPM, revenue) and experience with government programs and commercial sectors.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
