Sr. Technical Support Engineer (Semiconductor)

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Support Engineer to work with cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment in Hillsboro, Oregon. In this customer-facing role, you will support onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment. You will receive comprehensive training either in Austin, Texas, Hillsboro, Oregon, or Japan for 1-3 months. This position requires a full-time onsite presence and offers a chance to work with advanced technologies in a dynamic environment.

What youll be doing:

  • Maintain semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring it meets factory standards.
  • Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance.
  • Serve as the company liaison, managing customer relationships on installations and repairs.
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance independently, following factory procedures.
  • Report equipment status and errors to assist in troubleshooting and enhance performance.
  • Document activities and provide periodic reports.
  • Train customer personnel in equipment service and operation.
  • Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience such as technical or military training).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment, specifically photolithography.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing tools and strong mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in optics, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanics, or chemicals.
  • Preferred knowledge of the Linux operating system for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible schedules.
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom environment, including wearing protective gear.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
