IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. ITC will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, management, and integration of new and existing applications into the SIE cloud environment.
  • Design, implement, and oversee cloud architecture for DoD systems, ensuring it meets security, scalability, and performance requirements. Skills including AWS and Azure Cloud Environments.
  • Implement security controls in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including managing encryption, access controls, and data protection strategies to meet compliance standards like the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Develops and applies scalable architecture to USSOCOM cloud platforms.
  • Monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance and scalability. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.

Location: On-site in Tampa, FL, San Diego, CA, or Fayetteville, NC.

Requirements

Senior level: 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree.

Substitutions for education:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree
  • 12 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG), and compliance with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
  • Expertise in cloud networking, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) design, connectivity options (VPNs, direct connect), and integrating cloud systems with on-premises DoD infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cloud automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • ability to work with Teams, but self-motivated to complete projects on your own.
  • Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active DOD TS/SCI clearance
