Job Description:

As a Data Engineer at IP Corporation, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that support our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure the efficient, reliable, and secure processing of data to enable all corners of the organization to leverage it.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
  • Proficiency in ETL tools and frameworks
  • Programming experience in languages supporting data operations
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms for data operations
  • Deep knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with data architecture best practices and data modeling for OLTP and data warehouse/lakehouse/BI applications
  • Experience with managing data catalogs, business glossaries, and Data Lineage
  • A demonstrated ability to deliver in a complex business environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data modeling
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices
  • Understanding of data governance and security principles

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Play a pivotal role in evolving our data architecture to support data-intensive initiatives and technologies
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into our data management architectures
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through data cleansing and validation
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows
  • Implement data governance and security practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Document data processes and architecture
  • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering
