POSITION TITLE: Student Trainee PD (Paid Internship)
HOURS: 40 Hours per Week
TERM: 10 Weeks
LOCATION: Washington, DC
TYPE OF ROLE: Insights and Data Solutions Division
Our client is looking for a forward-looking, proactive, and collaborative Student Trainee PD residing in Washington DC for an onsite position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is located in the Insights and Data Solutions Division in the Export-Import Bank (EXIM) and serves in the capacity of a student trainee.
Performs duties under the supervision of a higher-graded employee who gives instructions as to the objectives and results to be obtained and is available for guidance as to methods and procedures to be followed during the progress of the assignment.
The incumbent receives tailored instruction, guidance, training, and supervision designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful performance of their duties. The incumbent will receive on-the-job training intended to enhance the individual's technical competencies. Work assignments are made commensurate with the college curriculum.

- Become familiar with the Power BI workspace, Load data with Power BI, transform datasets, Work with text-based visualization, Chart and filter data, use slicers, Cleanse data, enhance dashboards, and Publish and create new reports.
- Analyzes diverse data by using appropriate analytical procedures and other methods. Interprets
results of analyses to reach meaningful conclusions and recommendations. - Provides information to help senior colleagues provide guidance, improve processes, evaluate the impact of external requirements on existing business processes, communicate findings to stakeholders, or determine gaps. Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of systems, methods, processes, and procedures, and the impact of external requirements.
- Uses data information systems to respond to inquiries. Uses data information systems to prepare reports. Uses knowledge of business processes to ensure the maintenance of appropriate file documentation. Reviews the accuracy of the information in systems. Ensures all relevant information is accurately uploaded into systems. Performing data quality insights to identify anomalies and help with corrections.
- Assist with SharePoint operations, dashboard reviews/updates, training delivery, etc.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
These are some of the required skills and experiences you ll need for success, in this role:
- General knowledge of EXIM s programs, operations, rules, and processes.
- Basic program and policy analysis, using a variety of quantitative and qualitative data, to facilitate the establishment of data frameworks and policies that are responsive to both the mission of EXIM and the needs of the commercial marketplace.
- Basic skill in fact-finding and investigative techniques, and the ability to use knowledge of EXIM programs and policies to recognize the most relevant information and most efficient process to address the issue at hand.
- Basic knowledge of analysis and statistical methodologies at a level sufficient to make recommendations and assess the development and interpretive evaluation of models.
- Basic ability to utilize data systems, analytical models, and decision models to extract, analyze, and develop datasets, dashboards, reports, and/or visualizations. Maintain basic proficiency in business user support on software technologies, applications, and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of enterprise-wide business information.
- Ability to develop queries and updates, program routines, and reports to expedite the processing of resource and management data.
- Skill to tell stories with data, to take technical, and statistical problems and explain them simply, in a concise and compelling manner. Information may be presented either orally or in written form.
- Ability to review results from predictive models and statistical tools, assist others in translating them into a common language for communication to internal customers and make general recommendations based on analysis results.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an HBCU, PBI, or MI College or University.
