Position Title: JOPES Analyst (Military Activities)
U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) located at McDill AFB, Tampa, Florida has a unique joint staff planning need focused on integrating and synchronizing DoD military activities with United States Government (USG) strategy. These services include developing inputs to strategies, campaign plans, and concepts of operation that ultimately translate strategic and operational objectives into a series of related activities and operations to achieve desired end states in coordination with other DoD components, USG agencies, allies, coalition members and regional partners.
The Joint Operations and Planning System (JOPES) Analyst provides strategy, plans, exercises, and policy services specific to research, analysis, and using JOPES/JOPES data analysis.
Location: U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Headquarters, MacDill AFB, Tampa Florida
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI eligible
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides expertise in conducting research and analysis of full spectrum operations in a joint, multinational, and interagency context.
- Provides expertise in producing detailed graphics, written analysis, and other products for the USCENTCOM Commander that accurately reflect the evolving operational/ strategic picture and issues within the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Provides expert analysis of other DoD, Interagency (IA), and multinational operations to ensure synchronization with USCENTCOM objectives.
- Provides expertise in using automation and computer modeling resources in
- Incorporates JOPES Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) analysis into the operational and strategic plans.
- Coordinates with United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and conveys a feasibility analysis for planned missions.
- Provides Functional Analysis of Operational Plans up to a "Level 4" detail (Level 1- Commander's Estimate; Level 2-Base Plan; Level 3-Concept Plan; Level 4-Operation Plan).
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of military
- Minimum of 5years of experienceutilizingtheJoint OperationsPlanningand Execution System (JOPES).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience at a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters.
- High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Prior USCENTCOM experience is preferred, but not required.
- TS/SCI eligible clearance.
