We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Macon, GA. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems in our facility to ensure optimal production operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues using technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and within manufacturer specifications.
- Perform calibration and adjustments on mechanical components as required.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation.
- Comply with all safety standards and regulations, following best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical technology or a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a similar role (preferred)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with industrial machinery and systems, including HVAC, conveyors, and hydraulics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
- Basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- EPA Refrigeration Certification (if applicable) for HVAC-related work.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (Preferred but not required).
- Forklift Operator Certification (Preferred but not required).
