Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Database Developer to join our team in CASTLE ROCK, Colorado. Our industry is heavily reliant on data, and as a Sr. Database Developer, you will be crucial in managing and organizing this data. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement database structures in a way that they can meet the needs of the company.
Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets.
Implement security measures to safeguard the company's database.
Use Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL for developing complex stored procedures, triggers, tables, user functions, views, indexes, user profiles, and security.
Develop and manage Power PI (Dax/Power Pivot) solutions to facilitate data analysis and reporting.
Employ cloud technologies where necessary to boost efficiency and performance.
Utilize Informatica and MapR to manage data and distribute parts of the computation process to different machines.
Use business intelligence tools and data visualization techniques (like dashboards) to present data and the results of analysis in a clear manner.
Work with other teams to understand their needs, offering support when necessary to ensure the company's operations run smoothly.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the database field to keep our systems current.
Requirements
Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
Demonstrated proficiency in Cloud Technologies is essential.
Experience with Database Object is required.
Should possess working knowledge of Informatica.
Familiarity with MapR is a necessity.
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.
Experience in AB Testing is desirable.
Expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) is required.
Should be able to create Business Requirement Document.
The ability to create Dashboards is a must.
Experience working with various Data Sources is necessary.
