We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Service Desk Technician II in LEXINGTON-FAYETTE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be expected to provide technical support and troubleshoot various hardware and software issues in an ITIL-driven environment. The position will require extensive knowledge of various diagnostic utilities and the ability to build rapport with staff members.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware and software, including Windows 11, Dell and Lenovo devices.
Provide extensive support for various applications, ensuring smooth operations.
Maintain a working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities to aid in trouble resolution.
Provide support in an ITIL-driven environment, adhering to established ITIL principles and processes.
Document issues and resolutions accurately and efficiently, maintaining high-quality documentation.
Install and configure various programs on Dell and Lenovo devices as required.
Participate in project and ticket-based work depending on the time of year, which may include activities such as laptop refresh and migration to OneDrive.
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, focusing on building rapport, listening, and questioning to effectively resolve issues.
Handle customer inquiries effectively and professionally, whether they come via phone, email, or walk-in.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of basic computer hardware, including multi-function printers
Requirements
Possess at least 1 year of experience in a similar role or related IT field.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with computer hardware including Dell Technologies.
Proficiency in managing Active Directory and Backup Technologies.
Familiarity with Configuration Management.
Experience with Windows operating systems such as Windows 11, Windows Workstation, Windows Remote Desktop, Windows Platform, Windows PC, Windows OS, Windows Intune, Windows Infrastructure, Windows Installer, Windows Domain, Windows Desktop Operating System, and Windows Desktop.
Ability to handle Windows Deployment tasks efficiently.
Experience in dealing with Desktop Hardware.
Proficiency in Hardware & Software Installation, Hardware and Software, Hardware Components, Hardware Configuration, Hardware Devices, Hardware Installation, Hardware Issues, Hardware Troubleshooting, and Hardware Upgrades.
Knowledge of PC Hardware and Printer Hardware.
Familiarity with Network Printers.
Understanding of ITIL - IT Infrastructure Library and ITIL Processes.
Ability to manage Application Deployments, Application Installations, and Application Management.
Proficiency in Software Application.
Excellent troubleshooting skills including Troubleshoot Hardware, Troubleshoot Network, Basic Troubleshooting, and Basic Network Troubleshooting.
