Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer position is focused on improving the production of a defined value stream/product. works closely with Manufacturing Supervision and design engineering to maximize efficiency. Will plan, test, and custom make industrial tools when required, and thus assist other engineers in implementing improvements in production and output.
Reviews work environment for safe practices
Assist with developing layouts or floor plans.
Inspect the efficiency and plans and conduct various diagnostic tests to ensure the product performs optimally.
Troubleshoot equipment and record test procedures and results.
Assess prototypes, analyze performance of machinery, or try new methods of plant production.
Ensures that all M.E. related reviews are completed to schedule and that the inputs / outputs are managed to the defined process
Creating work instructions for manufacturing processes
Installing new equipment.
Responding to work stoppage/ breakdowns.
Determine line capacity. line balance, cycle time (standard hours to perform a task) and takt times.
Ensure appropriate tooling availability for value stream.
Ability to brief customer on technical issues.

Under 22 CFR 120.62, a U.S. person is defined as a lawful permanent resident as per 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). It also includes any corporation, business association, partnership, society, trust, or other entity that is incorporated to do business in the United States, as well as governmental entities at the federal, state, or local levels. It does not include foreign persons as defined in 120.63.

Requirements:Education:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
Experience with the Configuration Control, Environmental Testing, and Military Specs used in defense or space applications a plus.
Experience:
Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery. Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, drawings, and test equipment; Experience with application of precision bearings and design of precision mechanisms, avionics, a plus.
Other:
Good organizational and presentation skills. Experience with optical encoders and aerospace programs a plus. Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation. Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
