Responsibilities:
The FIAR Analyst will provide essential financial and logistics expertise to support SOCCENT's efforts in achieving full financial statement audit remediation. Key duties include collaborating with government entities to ensure the availability and accuracy of documentation for financial transactions and material in compliance with FIAR standards. The analyst will identify weaknesses in current financial and logistical processes and propose solutions to enhance audit readiness and improve asset accountability.
Key tasks include:
- Developing and implementing an Audit Remediation Plan to resolve identified weaknesses and ensure FIAR compliance.
- Documenting and assessing financial and material management processes, including identifying risks and internal controls.
- Conducting FIAR discovery and correction efforts, supporting the government in completing corrective actions, and addressing high-risk areas impacting financial statements.
- Assisting in FIAR assertion efforts by compiling audit-ready documentation and supporting the government in the assertion of audit remediation.
- Providing ongoing FIAR sustainment and remediation support, including reviewing compliance, evaluating risks, and recommending procedural improvements.
- Conducting physical inventories, assessing internal controls, and supporting the government's data cleansing efforts to ensure accuracy in financial and property systems.
- Supporting the implementation of corrective action plans, training SOCCENT personnel, and facilitating the development of FIAR-related briefings and reports.
- Assisting with quarterly and monthly reviews, ensuring compliance with federal accounting standards, and supporting the resolution of unliquidated obligations and open document listings.
- Providing audit expertise, developing training materials, and supporting the implementation of new FIAR-related policies and processes.
This role requires the FIAR Analyst to work closely with various stakeholders and government entities to achieve and sustain auditability, ensuring all processes and documentation meet audit standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of experience with DoD or other federal agency in their respective discipline. Experience shall include:
- Audit readiness requirements for DoD o Tying materiel management elements to the financial statements.
- Evaluating program deficiencies and preparing briefings for senior DoD leadership to address solutions o Justifying policy change, systems acquisition, and budget justification
- Government Contracting, including using Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Contract Closeout procedures, preparing contract modifications in SPS/PD2, and researching/coordinating financial and contractual information
- DAWIA certifications appropriate to years of experience
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines:
o Logistics or SCM,
o Accounting or Finance,
o Information Technology, or
o Business Management or Business Administration
Certification Requirements:
- One of the following: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), or Oracle Hyperion Planning 11 Certified Implementation Specialist.
