Responsibilities:
Provide planning to direct test instrumentation, data collection, and analysis.
Author test instrumentation, data collection, and analysis technical documents as
requested from customers.
Perform test instrumentation, data collection, analysis, reduction, and reporting in
accordance with established plans and requested deliverables such as creation of test
result figures, graphs, charts, and authoring test documentation.
Deploy, setup, and operate instrumentation, network, and data management and
collection tools during test events.
Maintain and operate Modeling and Simulation tools used during test events.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues discovered during testing.
Contribute to the development of the test plan, identify resources, schedule, and test
cases required to achieve the test objectives.
Develop test cases and test scripts to support systems under test and simulation tools.
Develop scenarios and supports mission thread development.
Provide input to the test report, ensuring that all stated requirements and test
objectives have been evaluated and the documented results adequately and
accurately reflect the collected data and analysis conducted during the event.
Perform near real-time data monitoring, data collection, data reduction, data analysis,
data reporting, and C2 standards verification and validation.
Perform performance assessments of USMC networks, applications, and systems.
Perform TCP/IP analysis and troubleshooting with Wireshark.
Qualifications:
Minimum Position Requirements:
Four years experience applying test engineering expertise through technology
processes, methodologies, standards, or frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in applying test engineering tools and applying test
methodologies in an integrated test environment.
Working knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and
switching.
Experience administering VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Windows
Server Operating Systems.
Experience analyzing test objectives and system requirements to develop a process
that would best test C2 systems.
Experience working in a team environment providing technical expertise in all phases
of a test event; planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting.
Experience developing test cases that can be performed to achieve adequate test
coverage.
Ability to communicate technical content both orally and in writing.
Develop test documentation that includes, but not limited to test plans, test reports,
test procedures, problem reports, architecture diagrams, and topical briefings.
Possess and maintain currency in respective field; understand emerging processes,
methodologies, and technical advancements.
Provide accurate and timely testing expertise in support of assigned tasking.
Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.
Desired Position Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, or related field.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
JKO Joint Multi-TDL Network (MTN) Operations JT101.
Cisco Certified Associate Certifications of CCNA Routing and Switching.
VMware certifications of VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
Hands-on experience with data collection and analysis tools such as: Riverbed
products, SolarWinds products, Message Analysis Data Reduction for the Integration
of Links (MANDRIL), Combined Interoperability Validation and Evaluation Tool
(CIVET), DEASIL, Wireshark, or Network System Integration and Test Environment
(NSITE).
Hands-on experience with M&S tools such as: BOSS (Battlefield Operations Support
System), NGTS (Next Generation Threat System), ExCIS (Extensible Command,
Control, Communications, and Computers Integrated (C4I) Instrumentation Suite),
LEGS (Link-16 Environment Gateway Stimulator), TOES (Terminal Operational
Environment Simulator), ARMS (Amalgamated Remote Management System),
DFSTS (Digital Fires Support Training System), VTT (Variable Message Format Test
Tool), Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT)-Large (L), -Medium (M), -Small (S),
WASP - Wrap-Around Simulation Program, EXata Network Modeling and Emulator.
Hands-on experience with Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) Software
Developer's Kit (SDK).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
Hands-on experience with Advanced C++ programming language.
Experience using tools to analyze Link 16 and VMF data collected during a test event
to ensure messages conform to the MIL-STDs.
