Assembly Manufacturing Engineer II

Waterloo, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Waterloo, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate, and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors, and suppliers.

This full-time position is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
  • Investigate, gather, and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.
  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.
  • Develop and/or procure tooling and mistake proofing for new processes and/or new parts.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement (CI) teams.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work 3rd shift.
  • Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • One or more years of demonstrated factory support and manufacturing engineering knowledge (routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans/line design, methods documentation, maintenance, quality plans and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Work experience in a team environment.
  • Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Knowledge of DC Electric torque equipment.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Robotics experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or related experience.
  • Previous manufacturing, robotics, factory automation experience a plus.
