POS is seeking an experienced Network Administrator who wants to join our growing team. This position will be on-site at our corporate headquarters and offers growth opportunities.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Troubleshoot various software and hardware to ensure business and customer needs are met.
- Perform hands-on maintenance at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
- Manage and maintain infrastructure which includes Active Directory, phone system, security access controls, and network printers.
- Administer user IDs, passwords, and access to systems and applications.
- Clean, image, configure, and set up computer equipment for internal customers.
- Work on assigned tickets and document steps toward resolution.
- Develop training materials, service sheets, and FAQs for end users.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment.
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of IT systems are following the Information Security policy guidelines.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen POS's technology platform.
- Manage assigned technology projects.
We seek candidates with the following experience and background:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology-related field.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of network or system administration experience and 1-2 years of help desk experience working with end users.
- Experience working with MS Windows, MS Office Suite in addition to Mac.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience working independently with a high level of motivation.
- Certifications focused on Cloud, Vmware, or Microsoft a plus.
Hours will be M-F 8-5 PM with an after-hours/weekend work as needed.
