The Jr. Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's operational efficiency and effectiveness. This entry level position is responsible for the analysis of business processes and assisting the team in analyzing and evaluating Origence Information Technology systems and sub-systems. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance system efficiencies and effectiveness. Responsibilities include working with System Analyst and Leadership to ensure proper monitoring is configured, reviewing performance baselines & metrics, working with the team to create and update runbooks, reports, and knowledge base articles. Serves as point of contact for escalating incidents and problems for applications and systems, owning all tasks related to problem management, resolution, ensuring timely escalation as needed and implementing proactive measures. This individual works closely with various Departments within Origence to ensure incoming requests are addressed in a timely manner. Align Product, Development, and Engineering on the introduction of modern technologies to ensure the operational team knows how to support and monitor. Assists management in planning, process improvements, and cross-functional improvements relating to platform operations. 24/7 Support: The individual will be part of a team with a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support and critical issue resolution. Additional after-hours support may be requested on a project-by-project basis.
What You ll Be Doing:
Technical Expertise:
Gain an in-depth understanding of the applications and their functionality and the technical operational processes of the underlying platform. Demonstrate knowledge on the interaction of all the systems & sub-systems, how data flows, where failures are logged, & how they need to be monitored. Pursue continuing educational opportunities to grow technical skills.
Performance Monitoring & Documentation:
Ensure all aspects of the platforms systems & sub-systems have monitoring to facilitate quick resolution to system issues and minimize downtime including when new technologies are introduced into the environment. Through the utilization of APM tools and internal data, establish a performance baseline and facilitate creation of automation to monitor and alert when changes occur to the environment. Analyze and report on any deviation discovered during review of performance metrics. Review current documentation and runbooks verifying all are current, making the necessary updates when needed. 40%
Application Support:
Act as secondary escalation for the analysis and troubleshooting of the platform and provide detailed root cause analysis for software application issues to our customers and internal staff. Assist in the creation of solutions, automation, tools, & scripts to aid in quicker resolution & recovery from system issues.
Reporting:
Review application incidents, trends, and report problems to the product team to help improve the stability, security, supportability, & performance of the platform. Design and implement improved processes for support tasks. Provide weekly reports to management relating to tickets, projects, & support work
The Ideal Candidate:
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Relevant certification not required but preferred
Experience:
- Internship or entry level experience in operation analysis, process improvement, or system analysis preferred.
- Knowledge of business processes and ability to identify solutions that align with organizational objectives.
- Familiarity of technical documentation, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems as well as collaborating with internal Information Technology teams
- Basic understanding of Information Technology concepts, including hardware, software, network, and security
Specialized Skills:
- Develop and purpose process improvement strategies and solutions to enhance operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting and the ability to identify issues reported Comfortable working in a fast paced/rapidly evolving environments
- Willingness to learn modern technologies and applications, applying them as needed. Comfortable collaborating effectively within a team environment with both technical and non-technical users. Knowledge of web-based software application environments preferred
- Familiarity with ITIL and working with ticketing systems preferred
- Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed
- Ability to translate technical specifications into clear non-technical requireme

The starting hourly range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $23.56 - $29.48 per hour. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company s discretion on an individual basis.
