Purpose:
As an ERP Service ERP Project Analyst, you will have a vital role in improving the college's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which supports various administrative functions such as finance, human resources, student services, and alumni relations. You will work with the college staff to identify their business requirements and issues, and to help them incorporate the ERP system with other IT systems and applications. You will cooperate with other IT professionals, vendors, and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that enhance the performance and user experience of the ERP system. You will also offer training, documentation, and support to the end-users and resolve any problems that occur.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities for the ERP Project Analyst for ERP Services include:
- Creating and implementing business processes, workflows, technology solutions and technology frameworks that suit the needs and goals of the business organization.
- Following business-specific standards and best practices when creating business/functional/system requirements for university departments and the use of the ERP.
- Recommending and configuring business rules and business/functional/system requirements for improvements and enhancements of the ERP system.
- Responding to helpdesk tickets related to access and permissions, user decommissions, and security issues, and ensuring timely and accurate resolution of the issues.
- Building and modifying security classes according to the college policies and best practices and ensuring compliance and data protection.
- Recommending updates to business processes to align with the ERP technology and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the business operations.
- Staying informed of changes, updates, and the roadmap of the ERP system and communicating them to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Working with the vendor to provide solutions to complex problems and ensure quality and timely delivery of services and maintaining a good relationship with the vendor.
- Assisting departments and stakeholders with ERP solutions that meet their functional and technical needs and providing guidance and support on the use of the ERP system.
- Providing reports on ERP system to leadership and highlighting any issues or risks that may affect the performance or security of the system.
- Providing support on projects related to the ERP system as needed and coordinating with other IT teams and vendors to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.
- Coordinating and communicating planned and unplanned system outages for update, maintenance, and technical issues.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in ERP and enterprise application management.
- Take part in ongoing training in the university's ERP system to apply and communicate the knowledge with other team members.
- Undertaking and finalizing ERP-related projects as required. This includes planning, executing, and delivering projects that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Key responsibilities involve coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Have at least five years of experience working with ERP systems in an educational or government environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance practices.
- Produce clear and concise technical reports.
- Collaborate effectively with users, vendors, and staff.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills:
- Preferred working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) systems (Colleague).
- Experience in higher education or nonprofit sector.
Physical Demands:
- Light sedentary office work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
