Our internship program is 11 weeks long, beginning May 27, 2025 and ending August 8, 2025. This internship offers a cross-functional project with your fellow interns, so you learn about LGRA s strategy and collaborate to help solve a key business issue.

Purpose and Objective

Legal & General Retirement America (LGRA) provides essential support for the seamless onboarding and sustained operations of plan sponsors engaged in pension de-risking strategies. Our objective is to work collaboratively with the team to facilitate the establishment of new business and ensure the smooth continuation of operational processes.

Responsibilities

At LGRA we are in the middle of a multiyear multimillion dollar transformation project. This project will help LGRA become more competitive and reinvent the way we administer pension plans. The project entails implementing a new Admin Platform, and at the same time improve processes to align with the strategic goals of the Organization.

In the operations Business Analysis and Project Assistant role at LGRA, your responsibilities will encompass a range of crucial tasks including:

  1. Research and analysis of business process, helping LGRA Product owner in building out the new repository for Process knowledge.
  2. Help LGRA Product Owner in building a workable backlog of the business requirements that have been already gathered by analysts on the project, along with assisting in prioritization and organizing of such backlog.
  3. Assist in mop up operations as we near the end of this giant project.
  4. Review implemented processes and assist Product Owner identify areas where improvement to process might help efficiency from an application standpoint.
  5. Providing support to the project team as needed on new data migration/plan migrations from the old system to the new system.

Requirements

Qualifications

This role will require interactions with Managers, Project Managers, IT managers. This is an ideal internship for someone desiring to see firsthand, managers and management teams in action.

Participation in high-level decision-making meetings.

Rising Junior or Senior majoring in Business, or Computer Science (applications emphasis)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Understanding of pensions and annuities, preferred

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Strong ability to plan and prioritize

Analytical mindset, with structured problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

The expected hiring compensation for this position is $21 per hour for all hours worked.
