Job Description And Duties

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Prince Rupert campus, invites applications for Part time College Instructors for the winter semester as outlined below (subject to minimum enrolment). Salary will be in accordance with the CUPE Instructor Scale: (range: $5,775.84 - $9,255.50 per section).

Duties: The College Professors are responsible for contributing to the academic success of students. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction in the following courses:

Winter Semester (December 23, 2024 – May 2, 2025)

  • BIOL 102: Introductory Biology II (1 lecture, 1 lab section)
  • CPSC 123: Computer Programming (1 lecture, 1 lab section) Online
  • GEOG 160: Physical Geography II: Geology, Geomorphology, and Soils (1.5 lecture, 3 lab sections)
  • GEOG 204: Spatial Analysis and Geographic Information Systems – (1 lecture, 1 lab section) Online
  • GEOG 215: Geography of Food (1 section)

Qualifications

A minimum of both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline along with teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate experience with experiential teaching formats.
