Job Summary: A production control clerk is responsible for data entry, CAD drawing, nesting, and quality checking of work. The production control clerk will answer any shop detail questions facilitating the process for our production and drafting teams. The production control clerk will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and understanding of manufacturing methods. They will contribute directly to our commitment to providing fast and accurate work to our fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input data for generating cut lists while understanding shop methods, equipment capacities, and requirements.
  • Review weekly schedules and verify that the documents are available in the shop for every scheduled order.
  • Forward shop detail questions to the appropriate parties in a timely manner and process any required revisions.
  • Sort Oracle lines and shop details by department to provide accurate information to each fabrication line.
  • Utilize CAD and ProNest for CAD drawing, nesting, and quality checking of work to meet shop requirements.
  • Collaborate with team to assist in programming, CAD drawing, nesting, and quality checking of work for the shop.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD and ProNest or willingness to learn.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with various teams within the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
