The Coral Springs Museum of Art is seeking qualified art instructors to teach art classes or workshops for young artists and/or adults in the museum studios.

We are accepting applications for teaching artists in the following disciplines: Painting + Drawing, Illustration, Ceramics, Fibers, Sewing, Sculpture, Jewelry, Photography + Video, Printmaking and more. If you are contacted for consideration, please be prepared to present portfolio images and examples of class work if possible. No phone calls please. All instructors are hired on a contract basis with a set fee schedule based on weeks and hours of each class or camp taught. All class enrollment minimums for classes to run for contractors is set at 4 registered students. All instructors will be required to participate in a museum training session, pass a background check and those teaching youth programs will also require fingerprints prior to being hired. Starting Pay for all Art Instructors will be as Independent Contractors and will sign an annual contract. Contract specifics will be discussed during the interview process.

  • BFA in one of the requested disciplines or BA in Art Education / Art History and teaching experience or at least or at least 3 years of teaching experience in a structured arts environment.
  • All sessions are taught by professional artists with at least 2 years of experience.
  • A level 2 background check is required of all instructors that will be working with children; the cost of the level 2 background check is the responsibility of the instructor. It is valid for 5 years and can be used at other locations.
  • All teaching positions require a class curriculum with a breakdown of projects.

 Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when drivingÂ
