Position Overview
The Cloud Security Alliance is currently seeking a Part-time IT Operations Assistant. This position is dedicated to maintaining uninterrupted service operations for our users, both within the organization and externally. The role includes establishing and maintaining service integrations, identifying and resolving service problems, and conducting data analysis to guide strategic decisions. A significant aspect of this role involves direct collaboration with various departments to address their IT requirements, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively. This position necessitates teamwork with both the support and development teams and entails reporting directly to the Technology Director. With our organization's strong emphasis on security, the integration of security practices into every task is a fundamental requirement. This is a hybrid position that requires time in office at CSA's Bellingham location on a weekly basis, but also offers some possible flexibility on a schedule.
Key Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have experience or a willingness to develop skills in the following areas:
Primary Service Skills
- User management, license/service integration with key platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft365, GitHub, 1Password, ZenDesk, Mailgun, Higher Logic, Notion.
- No-code database set-up and support.
- Maintaining website content in a CMS.
- Data extraction, synthesis and presentation from various databases and applications (PostgreSQL, Heroku dataclips, Tableau, DOMO).
Secondary Service Skills
- Setup and monitoring of services such as PowerDMARC, Google Analytics, AWS, Slack, CloudFlare, CloudAlly, Auth0, BL.ink, Adobe, Calendly, Grammarly.
- Occasional customer-facing support tasks.
- Basic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors, especially for platforms like Higher Logic.
Technical Knowledge And Skills
- Understanding of DNS, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, and spam management techniques.
- Knowledge of HTTPS/HSTS standards, shell scripting, Python, SQL, and 2FA/MFA implementation.
- Familiarity with project management principles, change control processes, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in basic photo and document editing.
- Proficiency in learning new tools and adapting to evolving admin interfaces.

Educational Requirements
- An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Systems or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Awareness of Cloud Security Alliance's mission and activities is advantageous.
