Sr Product Owner

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Product Owner with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
• Defining the vision for the team's product, developing user stories, creating a product road map based on this vision, managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
• Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
• Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process, liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates, participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
• Act as the primary contact between the scrum teams, product development team and stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development teams to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients
• After product completion, the Sr. Product Manager will conduct a final review and submit approval before releasing the product to clients
• Accurate translation of Business requirements into technical requirements and oversee the overall product delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of experience as a Full-time Product Management using Jira and Rally Software tools
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering project/product delivery
• Exposure to Data Science Platform technologies
• Prior Program and Project Management experience including Project Finance and Resource Management
• Expertise in diligently applying PO principles, practices, and theory and coaching the team to adopt solid product management framework
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely
• Self-motivated, quick learner, results-oriented and a clear focus on quality
• Ability to develop high level of credibility and strong positive relationships with peers and management
• Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Visio, JIRA

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Data Science platform and tools used, Data Quality aspects
• Hadoop Eco system and Hadoop tools
• Lean Agile

Pay Range: $70.13-$78.13
