  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

American Computer Services Inc. is hiring a Linux Systems Engineer with the skills and confidence to improve the stability and performance of multiple operating systems, maintain and improve system security, monitor system health, and troubleshoot issues.

You MUST have:

  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud computing infrastructure on the AWS platform.
  • Prior experience functioning as the primary Linux environment resource.
  • Experience with Linux and MS Windows servers.

To be successful, you must have:

  • Experience with installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
  • System administration experience in Linux environments.
  • Experience analyzing log files and managing user accounts and groups.
  • Experience troubleshooting system-level problems, including server failure and OS tuning.
  • Experience creating and managing BASH scripting as well as scheduling and managing Cron Jobs.
  • Experience configuring and managing Apache Web servers, including SSL Certificate configuration, reverse proxy, and load balancing configuration.
  • Practical hands-on VMware experience, including vSphere and administration of VMware Clusters.
  • Experience with Samba, CIFS, and NFS mounts.
  • Experience with Nagios monitoring software.
  • Experience setting-up and configuring system services.
  • Experience with VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience configuring and managing other application server and middleware technologies such as JBoss, AS/Wildfly, IBM MQseries.

In addition, you will need:

  • Experience with Windows System Administration, Active Directory, and Terminal Services.
  • Experience with applications that support enterprise infrastructure and business-critical services including administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of VMware systems, hosting hardware, Linux servers and MS Windows servers.
  • Experience with MS Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 Servers.
  • Experience configuring and managing Apache Tomcat.
  • Experience with SOLR and Alfresco.
  • Experience with DBMS software including, but not limited to, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server and MongoDB.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP and TCP/IP networking.
  • Experience with SAN storage, VMFS, iSCSI, or NFS.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a computer-related program.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Self-motivation, time management, and detail-oriented.
