  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Overview:

Seeking a skilled Business System Analyst to support data engineering and data analysis initiatives for Integrated Justice System and Business Intelligence (BI) Platform Modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling:
    • Develop and refine relational data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data structures.
    • Map user interface fields to database fields to streamline development efforts.
  • Report and Dashboard Development:
    • Design, develop, and transition reports and dashboards, ensuring usability and data integrity.
  • Quality Assurance and Documentation:
    • Conduct peer reviews, provide feedback, and maintain thorough documentation, including knowledge capture and diagramming.
  • Problem Solving and Analysis:
    • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis, develop workarounds, and implement fixes.
  • Communication:
    • Collaborate with peers and occasionally communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in relational data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
    • 5+ years in Power BI Report Server and Power BI Service.
    • Strong background in reporting tools: Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
    • Knowledge of CJIC systems, as well as public safety and justice data.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience in report writing, dashboard development, peer review, and documentation.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and creating effective solutions.

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
