DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Endpoint Systems Engineer will report to the Enterprise IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager. They will oversee all facets of deployment, configuration, and management of endpoint devices and servers using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Autopilot.
The Endpoint Systems Engineer will develop policies for device enrollment, compliance, and security across various endpoints to align with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring timely endpoint update deployment and reporting on compliance, utilization, security posture, etc. They must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues as they arise, as well as the ability to find efficiency in their role and work closely will all IT team members to ensure seamless, secure experiences throughout the enterprise. They will maintain endpoint management technology platforms to ensure they remain available, secure, and properly configured. The position requires continuous learning and knowledge of the latest features, updates, and best practices for all endpoint management related technologies.
This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining system and procedural documentation for IT and user audiences, uphold all IT policies, follow IT best practices, and provide backup support for other team members as need basis. This is a hybrid remote position with very limited travel required inside and outside the United States. The position will participate in an on-call support rotation, 1 week approximately every 6-8 weeks, for critical issue resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of proven, hands-on experience with using and managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune. Candidates with experience using and managing similar configuration management platforms will be considered.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft core infrastructure technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS Namespace, Certificate Authority/PKI).
- In-depth understanding of managing mobile devices (iOS, Android) in both fully managed and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) scenarios.
- Experience managing software distribution, patch management, and OS deployment using MECM.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and system management tasks.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and provide high-quality support to end-users while ensuring a positive experience.
- Ability to produce accurate and thorough documentation and reports.
- Highly professional, detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy individual.
- Proficiency in spoken and written communication in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical people.
- BS/BA in IT / Computer Science related field, or equivalent work experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience supporting a multi-national IT infrastructure utilizing a Zero Trust security model.
- Familiarity with Azure services, particularly in managing and securing cloud-hosted virtual machines and integrating them with on-premises endpoints.
