Summary
Reporting to the Field Analytics Manager, provides a variety of cross functional support to the Field Service Operations team and product line program managers. As a Business Analyst, you will support the Service and Quality departments by interpreting data and providing ongoing reports. This position will perform modeling and analysis from multiple internal and external databases to develop metrics and generate insights. Manage, develop, and distribute reports from the Service team that provide feedback from fielded systems to inform the service, manufacturing & engineering teams. Utilizes creative thinking and innovative approaches involving multiple technologies. Works with the team to develop new internal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex data sets to derive valuable insights, inform feature and product development.
- Use statistical methods to analyze internal and external databases to general useful business reports.
- Use data to create models that depict trends in the fielded equipment base.
- Work with department managers to identify specific data needs for each program (MTBF, Elapsed time to failure, first time fix rate, response time, customer satisfaction, time to close, equipment availability time, service team performance, utilization of quality trends.
- Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
- Participate in testing, integration, and implementation of new or upgraded software assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
- Coordinate, compile and prepare charts, graphs, and dashboards for periodic customer program reviews.
- Ensures data integrity amongst different data sources.
- Creates data visualizations that provide actionable insights for customers and internal teams
- Monitors service performance SLAs and ensures organizational and leadership visibility of SLA performance and problem areas.
- Executes process improvements, simplification, and automation.
- Works with the Field Service Administrator to ensure all deliverables are met on time and with accuracy.
- Provides leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
- Perform ad hoc analysis for internal leadership and customers as required.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, finding areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
- Identify test criteria and create test scripts and lead user acceptance testing to test new functionality/enhancements.
- Administers/updates ServiceMax service and training documentation.
- Ensures proper Personal Security (PERSEC) approval for TSA database access.
- TSA asset barcode management
- Assist with DHS Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (EQIP) tracking and compliance
- Coordinates subcontractor reporting and compliance (Rapiscan, K2, etc)
- Other administrative duties to include Purchase Order creation, Internal Purchase Requests (IPR), Travel and Expenses
Education and Experience
- BS degree with 4+ years of work experience.
- 4+ years in analyst role with data mining experience
- Superior analytical, interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects.
- Computer proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and
- Must have an analytical mindset and enjoy attention to detail, be well organized and a problem solver.
- Ability to learn quickly and become proficient in other software programs.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to distill complex subjects to a wider audience.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
Requirements:
- Either have TSA eQip approval to work with security system data or be able to get one after employment.
