Our client, a lean, innovative, and fast-moving leader in the clean energy finance sector, is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join their team. This role is pivotal in driving growth by expanding their enterprise account portfolio and enhancing tax credit sales transactions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in clean energy finance, energy project development, and/or tax credits and excel in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Location is flexible but SF Bay Area, Seattle, Los Angeles, or Denver preferred.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

• Drive tax credit sales to medium and large corporate buyers.

• Develop effective strategies for pitching clean energy tax credits to corporate finance professionals.

• Collaborate with company leaders to optimize buyer engagement and deal closure.

• Manage a high volume of interactions with both tax credit buyers and select sellers, providing expert advice on technical and strategic matters.

• Oversee the full sales process from origination to close, leveraging technology and structured processes to enhance sales velocity.

• Contribute thought leadership on tax credits and clean energy finance topics through writing and speaking engagements.

• Stay updated on the latest rules and developments in clean energy tax credits and offer insights to tax and corporate finance teams.

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a high-growth setting.

• Proven experience in clean energy finance or tax credits, with a demonstrated ability to engage CFOs and finance teams.

• A successful track record in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments.

• Proficiency in using technology and innovative methods to achieve results with limited resources. • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
