This role can be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, New York or Chicago.
We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to join the LinkedIn Talent Development team to imagine, design, and implement impactful digital learning solutions that solve key business problems and upskill our employees, as well as establish and champion inclusive learning design principles and standards across our learning team. Reporting to the Director of Learning Experience Design, you will lead the development of functional and enterprise-wide digital learning solutions for LinkedIn employees at scale. You’ll also leverage your deep expertise of accessible/inclusive learning design to define and champion accessibility criteria in a learning environment, as well as establish strategic partnerships with internal accessibility teams. You’ll be a key member of a creative, collaborative and high-impact team that wakes up every day excited to deliver valuable and innovative learning experiences that solve business objectives and support our employees’ growth and development in measurable ways.
Core responsibilities of this role are based on two primary focus areas:

The pay range for this role is $112,000 - $181,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

Digital Learning Experience Design:
- Design, develop, and deploy engaging and effective multimedia learning solutions that support functional and/or enterprise learning strategies and initiatives
- Solve business problems by identifying root causes, defining learning objectives, analyzing needs, and measuring results
- Create interactive experiences that drive behavior change using diverse asynchronous learning modalities (e.g. self-paced eLearning, micro-learning, simulations, gamified learning, AI-driven practice scenarios, job aids, websites etc.)
- Develop scalable practice opportunities using simulations and other innovative digital modalities
- Ensure learner-first design with a focus on needs, outcomes, and accessibility.
- Manage multiple projects end-to-end, in partnership with project/program leads, from scoping to design, development, launch, and impact analysis; setting clear timelines, deliverables, and expectations with cross-functional partners
- Build strong relationships with other instructional designers, stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional partners across the talent team and business.
- Measure impact and refine content/modality based on feedback
- Leverage your deep expertise in (and passion for!) accessible and inclusive design to establish accessibility criteria, standards, and best practices to be applied across Talent Development’s asynchronous, live, and in-person learning experiences
- Embed accessibility considerations across our talent team’s work for every step of the instructional design process, and in the setup, and delivery of live virtual, in-person workshops, and events.
- Build strategic partnerships with internal accessibility teams (e.g., compliance, product, UX, DIBs) for mutual learning and community building.
- Consult on inclusive design practices on learning initiatives across our talent team partners in the broader talent team
- Help level and shape accessibility expertise across the broader talent team through advocacy of criteria
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with the design, build, and delivery of asynchronous digital learning in large global organizations
- 5+ years of experience with Learning Design, Instructional Design, Inclusive Design, Accessibility, Learning & Development, or related corporate training field
- Expertise in the unique accessibility considerations of people with different disabilities in asynchronous, live, and in-person learning environments
- Experience using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, AI video generators, etc.
- Portfolio demonstrating learning experience design work is required.
- Experience with diverse, cutting-edge learning modalities (eLearning, microlearning, gamified learning etc).
- Experience using visual design tools (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, PowerPoint)
- CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies)
- Experience developing behavior-based learning content in areas such as: leadership development, coaching, career development, talent development, etc.
- Experience working with leadership and key stakeholders to build effective learning solutions
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and current learning trends, theories, and frameworks.
- Experience with content development, copywriting, and editing to support skills-based learning objectives
- Passion for and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) content including SCORM, assessments, reporting, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to and influence others.
- Detail oriented self-starter with exceptional prioritization, organization, and project management skills
- Skilled at designing engaging, accessible asynchronous learning for global audiences with a focus on UX
