The Director of Business Development – VIVA Railings will lead and manage the Business Development Manager (BDM) team to drive sales growth, achieve annual sales goals, and foster key account relationships. This role will focus on planning, execution, and development of sales strategies, ensuring the successful implementation of the company’s sales plan. The Director will work closely with the VP of Sales to create individual sales plans and ensure their execution, aligning the team’s efforts with the overall goals of VIVA Railings.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITYS

  • Lead, Manage, Accountability: Provide leadership and accountability to the BDM team by setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and offering coaching to ensure the team’s success in achieving targets.
  • Sales Planning / Execution: Collaborate with the VP of Sales to develop the annual sales plan and budget. Break down the plan into individual sales targets and ensure effective execution across the team.
  • Achieve Annual Traditional Channel Sales Goal: Drive the team toward meeting and exceeding the established annual sales goals through traditional sales channels.
  • Sales Development / Coaching: Mentor and coach the BDM team to enhance their sales capabilities, improve processes, and ensure continuous development.
  • Key Account Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business. Manage high-profile customer accounts and ensure satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the hiring, training, and development of the Business Development team, ensuring alignment with company goals and growth strategies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading sales teams to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with traditional sales channels and key account management.
