About The Role

This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Cybersecurity Consultant to join our growing team at Toffler Associates as an Engagement Leader in Security and Resilience. This role will support one of our Department of Defense clients and their strategy goals by developing, presenting and implementing technological cybersecurity solutions, as well as cyber risk management strategies at a senior/executive leadership level. This role will be responsible for utilizing investigative experience, security domain knowledge, and cybersecurity engineering skills to support complex, enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions for Federal clients. This individual will design and implement technical solutions across standard cyber operations, including early threat detection, effective monitoring of platforms and scenarios, and enhancement of technical capabilities and scenario engineering. This is a hybrid role within the Washington, DC metropolitan area and candidates must be U.S. citizens with ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

The candidate shall possess the following...

Professional Experience

  • Extensive understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, methods, attacks, and countermeasures along with knowledge of threat-based frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Knowledge of cyber risk management and government policies and familiar with NIST RMF, NIST CSF, DoD 8500, CNSSI Instructions, Cybersecurity Executive Orders, NIST SP 800 Series, and NISPOM.
  • Understanding of integrating multiple cybersecurity capabilities, such as ICAM, CDS, and endpoint security.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more cybersecurity capability areas (Resilient Architectures & Mission Assurance, Applied Resiliency Solutions, Threat Informed Resiliency, or Strategic Resiliency Research)
  • Expertise in cyber threat intelligence and other cybersecurity areas, including adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • In-depth knowledge of National, Intelligence Community, and DoD cybersecurity policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic and complex environments, engaging with senior client leadership to resolve complex technical and programmatic issues.
  • Experience working with senior government officials and coordinating interagency efforts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education And Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years of experience and bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Policy, or a related field.
  • Level II or greater DoDD 8570 compliant certification
  • Ability to commute regularly within the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and travel out-of-town within the US (up to 20%)
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance (the nature of our work with the federal government limits our hiring to U.S. citizens) Must reside in and be willing to commute regularly within the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and travel out-of-town (up to 20%); hybrid work environment anticipated, to include on-site and virtual locations

Preferred But Not Essential

  • Experience in cyber security management consulting
  • Ability to propose and assess capabilities of alternative solutions to meet program needs
  • Strong expertise in developing security architectures and integrating systems for enterprise infrastructures, operational environments, software and/or technology departments, and applying cybersecurity capabilities across on premises, cloud, and edge environments
  • Experience with federal agency or commercial cyber accounts with proven expansion, account management, and understanding of acquisition acumen
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing long-term relationships and accounts
