Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the organizational development consulting on joint projects and initiatives to labor and management stakeholders in multiple hospitals
  • Direct, supervise and develop consultants on strategies and practices for most effective interventions with labor and management stakeholders in hospital systems
  • Observe consulting staff in the field to provide feedback, training and coaching to ensure quality programming
  • Support the Director in developing and directing the strategic direction of the Health Systems and Hospitals department
  • Manage annual performance evaluation process for team members including quarterly check-ins on projects and goals
  • Partner with all levels of management, physicians, union staff and members to coach them into working effectively together at larger hospital systems or strategic organizations, present at national conferences and publications of articles
  • Document progress and results of projects through case studies, reports to Directors, Senior sponsors, project management and other creative methods
  • Develop curriculum/workshop presentations to expand the knowledge, skills and attitudes of clients
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Organization Development, Healthcare, or equivalent years of work experience required
  • Minimum six (6) years’ experience in organizational development and/or leading labor management initiatives required to include four (4) years of supervisory experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Effective Leadership skills in organization relational dynamics related to labor and management relationship
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Experience working in a unionized, not for profit or health care setting preferred
