The Bar Prep is responsible for supporting the bar department and bar team in advance of the shift. This role involves bar setup, prep & stocking, batching cocktails, preparing juices and garnishes, organizing, maintaining overall cleanliness, and ensuring the efficiency of the bar and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all proper sanitation practices are enforced when taking care of the bar
  • Dispose of trash and bottles according to restaurant procedure
  • Bring filled bus bins from behind the bar to the dishwashing area
  • Prepare all fruit/garnish for all cocktails on menu
  • Restock all inventory: beer, liquor, wine, juices, glassware, etc

Skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Avid multitasker to adapt to a fast paced, high volume restaurant setting

Working Conditions

  • Be able to stand, twist, kneel and move around for the entirety of a scheduled shift
  • Be able to lift up to 30lbs
  • Be comfortable frequently using hands and wrists

Education/Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
  • Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required
