What You'll Do
The Sr. Director of Finance and Accounting is responsible for leading WAYB's finance and accounting operations. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute strategic financial plans aligned with company objectives, focusing on profitable growth, market expansion, and channel/product mix
- Drive the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting, monitoring performance and identifying improvement opportunities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to safeguard assets and capitalize on market opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and investment evaluations to drive business growth
- Be lead liaison to Parent Company for all ad hoc reporting, valuation, audit, and tax requests
- Manage, oversee, and mentor the finance and accounting team, promoting professional development and cross-functional collaboration
- Lead financial audit process and ensure compliance with legal, state, regulatory, and company policies and procedures
- Work with external partners and systems to ensure timely and accurate state, federal, and international income tax filings, as well as state and local sales tax/VAT filings
- Support sales operations, planning, and forecasting, as well as inventory and supply/demand planning processes as needed
- Provide financial analysis as needed in support of pricing decisions, strategic/scenario planning, etc.
- Build relationships and ensure smooth communication with parent company regarding all financial matters
- Provide a value-added voice to strategy discussions with executives, providing insight to long-range economic and financial trends and its impact on future growth, sales, and market share
- Lead by example and exhibit behavior consistent with the Company's expectations for a Senior Director in order to uphold the company culture / live the WAYB values and communicate effectively and with tact at all times and with audiences at all levels
- Integrate social and environmental factors and considerations in day-to-day decision making, weighing implications alongside financial and product/consumer/market considerations; lead and inspire team members to do the same
- Support company and employee initiatives, and suggest and make business decisions that reinforce and further establish the company's commitment to people and the planet

- 10+ years in finance or accounting, with 5 years in leadership
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, long-range business planning, and advanced Excel
- Experience with Prophix and Netsuite (ERP) required
- Industry experience in baby gear, soft goods and hard goods preferred
- U.S Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship required
