The Role:
As an Equity Trader, you will become more intimate with the markets while mastering Trillium's proprietary trading tools. Working closely with a designated trainer, you will quickly become immersed in a diverse mix of trade strategies. You will develop a solid understanding of US, Canadian, and OTC equity markets, along with US Options markets, and strengthen your communication, quantitative, and analytical skills. Here you'll practice and grow your understanding of economics, risk assessment, and decision-making by making split-second buy and sell decisions and placing orders on our proprietary keyboard-based trading platform; all done under the supervision of your trainer. You will be actively trading and managing firm capital after your first month on the desk.
Our intention is to thoughtfully challenge our Equity Traders to be better at getting better by expanding their knowledge, enhancing their research capabilities, and strengthening their ability to assess and manage risk.

Compensation:
- Annual base salary of $58,000-$64,350 (gross)
- Monthly P&L-based bonuses (contingent on trading performance)
- Researching market microstructure patterns for inefficiencies
- Collaboration on daily trade review
- Following industry and overall market news
- Working closely with a dedicated trainer
- Participating in group meetings hosted by senior traders
- Educational seminars to learn proprietary trading tools
You are an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive person who is eager to learn. The ideal candidate must have/be the following:
- Resourceful thought process, team-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated through extracurricular activities and/or group projects, and record of academic achievement
- Analytically minded, intellectually curious, and have a strong interest in financial markets
- Must be competitive, adaptable, and persevering
- Preferred major(s) in economics, mathematics, business/business administration, finance, or adjacent fields

- The position is intended for soon to be college graduates (Fall/Winter 2024 or Spring 2025 graduation) with a cumulative 3.5+ GPA
