Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY is expected to be between $165,000 and $178,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. Role And Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and hypothesis testing to monitor specific system features performance.
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.
- Design, develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Synthesize raw data into actionable insights to drive business results, identify key trends and opportunities and report the findings in a simple, compelling way.
- Acquire, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to analyze and interpret large datasets, uncovering trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, with 4+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT and data pipeline processes and tools like dbt and Airflow.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and machine learning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
