Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the human resources needs and implementation of best practices to support achievement of corporate business objectives in the geographic or business unit for which they are responsible. The role is primary partner to regional leadership such as VPs, Clinical Directors ACDs, Leaders in Clinical Ops and Territory Ops, Site Administrators on all aspects of human resources and employment related matters , serving as a subject matter expert on human resources policies, procedures, and best practices. The successful execution of the role includes taking a consultative and proactive approach to understanding the needs of the organization and putting into place strategies and leveraging policies and best practices. The ultimate goal of the role is to coach and empower people leaders to build a high-performance employee experience and expectations.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization, building relationships and establishing credibility with employees from a wide range of teams/departments. The generalist must be able to balance overall corporate needs, employee engagement and the ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with all HR regulations.
Candidates must reside within driving distance to Milwaukee, WI or Madison, WI. This is classified as a hybrid role, as the position will be primarily remote with the expectation of working on-site 1 day per week (at least 4 days per month).

- HR Policy Management - Partners with HR leadership to review, update, and communicate human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations. Act as SME for internal HR policy interpretation for leaders across the business
- Employee Relations - Tracks employee performance and employee relations needs. Make recommendations to leaders for performance improvement processes, responds to tier 2/complex employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment or discrimination. Mediation of difficult conversations with employees
- Act as a point of contact with LOA and Legal team on escalated employee relations issues. Leads investigations on complex employee relations issues.
- Performance Management coaching and advising leaders on performance related conversations. Collaborates with leaders on execution of performance plans, performance improvement, setting expectations and goals.
- Data-based Decision Making Identifies trends that have the potential to affect business outcomes, employee engagement and performance. Develops strategies on ways to resolve based in available data.
- People Projects Take a leadership role on select enterprise wide projects. Partner with region leadership and cross functional teams on process improvement, policy/practice evolution, and people plan implementation to lead HR and operational efficiency, effectiveness, and drive standardized work. Agile and collaborative at leading and delivering on people strategies to deliver organizational objectives.
- Employee and Leadership Development Create and deliver employee and leadership development content
- Employee Engagement Act as a point of contact for employees and a presence onsite. Strategize and advise local leadership on culture and engagement opportunities. Strategizes and advises leaders and people managers on culture topics and issues.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline required
- Minimum three years work experience in a progressive Human Resource Generalist or Human Resources Specialist role
- Agile and collaborative at leading and delivering on people strategies in high change, high growth cultures
- Strong time management, organization and attention to the details
- Solid communication and collaboration skills, along with a passion for connecting with others
- Desire to cultivate positive working relationships, supports the team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of others
- Demonstrated confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in all situations
- Familiarization with HRIS and ATS systems; UKG and iCIMS preferred
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, and Excel)
