Our Shipping & Warehouse Manager helps meet our customers’ demanding expectations for on time delivery – enabling mission critical equipment to reach our clients and protect their customers. CFS has recently established a brand new 65k square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in North Little Rock and the Shipping & Warehouse Manager is a key leader that will be building and executing efficient processes to move inventory in and out of our facility.

Further, you will be putting in place systems and strategies to support shipping operations' daily activities, including order processing, inventory tracking, documentation, and transportation oversight in a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to record and track all shipping transactions, analyze performance metrics, and generate reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safe, efficient and organized processes for receiving and stowing, picking and packaging, shipping, inventory management and documentation.
  • Optimizes warehouse layout, workflows, organization and utilization of warehouse to ensure on time delivery.
  • Provides direction to a team of warehouse shippers and warehouse staff, ensuring accountability and training to best practices.
  • Ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling.
  • Investigates and resolves shipping quality issues, damages, or lost freight claims.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors.
  • Unload, unpack and organize receiving materials for assembly and shipment.
  • Communicates and collaborates extensively with leadership, operations management and finance on status and planning of inventory.
  • Manages staff scheduling for shipment shifts.
  • Manages shipping operations’ daily activities, including order processing, inventory tracking, documentation and transportation oversight.
  • Use ERP system (Accumatica) to record and track all shipping transactions and monitor performance metrics
  • Develops onboarding for new hires and staff.
  • Provides direction and hands on support organizing inventory in warehouse for efficient picking.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Understanding of OSHA Safety Standards and Compliance
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of warehousing and shipping
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement materials management, shipping and warehousing processes to reduce lead time to customers.

Qualifications / Prior Experience

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in logistics or operations preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing warehouse
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing and shipping processes with ability to tailor and adjust programs
  • The ability to lift 50lbs
