Summary of Position:

We are seeking an environmental scientist with at least 5-years of experience in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and/or Ohio. This person will help our environmental team with a variety of field investigations, sampling of materials, permitting and report generation support. As a full-time position, this individual should have a focus in environmental sciences, geology, or environmental engineering with an understanding of environmental permitting, site assessments and prior experience with GIS. The ideal candidate will be detail-orientated, work independently, have excellent written and verbal communication and work collaboratively with other team members internally and externally.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Performs Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s).
  • Conducts stream and wetland delineations.
  • Performs media sampling (stream, groundwater, soil).
  • Supports aboveground storage tank services.
  • Prepares analytical and technical reports.
  • Interprets findings and compares with local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Works cooperatively with project managers, office personnel and other field staff.
  • Balance working in the field 60% and office 40%.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or other related Physical Science.
  • At least 5 years of environmental experience, preferably with West Virginia, Pennsylvania and/or Ohio.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to work in all types of outdoor environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry and load field equipment up to 50 pounds.
