  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Canopy Specialty Insurance LLC is an Insurance Program Administrator/Manager throughout the United States that underwrites Specialty insurance programs on behalf of "A" rated carrier partners and Lloyd's of London Syndicates. Our current product lines include Contractors General Liability, Professional Liability, Environmental & Restoration, Logistics Liabilities, and Cyber Liability, with additional product lines coming on board over the coming months.

Role Description

As part of our continued expansion in the Contractors space, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Contractors General Liability Underwriter to join the underwriting team and support the buildout of the Contractors team, reporting to the lead underwriter of the program. Working with broker partners, the Contractors Underwriter will be responsible for assessing and evaluating new and renewal risks to determine acceptability, coverage, pricing, terms, and conditions of the policy. The Contractors Underwriter will collaborate with brokers, analyze data, and make underwriting decisions to support profitable growth for the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Solid insurance knowledge with a minimum of 3-5 years Contractors underwriting experience

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in the risk assessment of an account

•Excellent

  • communication skills with brokers and internal colleagues
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or Business is a plus
  • Further education through insurance qualifications such as CPCU designation us a plus
