Summary:
Servicing Appraisal Quality is responsible for oversight of the company’s servicing appraisal quality control process, property valuation controls, compliance, policy, valuation review software and technology, servicing appraisal provider quality and third-party appraiser risks for the servicing division. This position requires the ability to work independently while reviewing valuation and other property reports as directed by management. As part of servicing default and loss mitigation processes, this position validates the appraisal report value credibility and compliance with investor requirements and internal Freedom Mortgage guidelines, requesting revisions and clarifications from the appraiser as necessary. Additionally, this position may also provide additional reviews as requested by the management of Servicing Appraisal Quality.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews the value credibility and compliance of servicing appraisals for all residential property types according to investor and Freedom Mortgage requirements across Servicing as directed.
- Keep up to date with industry guidelines and trends to ensure that all valuations are compliant with current standards.
- Continually researches current and upcoming appraisal industry affairs, loan product appraisal guidelines, policies, procedures, and technology provided by the company, GSE, FHA/VA, and the risk assessment tools used in appraisal reporting and valuation. Organizes and presents findings to ensure department is informed of any upcoming changes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and databases pertaining to all property valuations and quality assurance procedures.
- Prepare reports and provide feedback to management regarding quality assurance issues and process improvements.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

- Strong technological proficiency is a must to excel in this position.
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in in Microsoft Office, specifically SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability and willingness to adapt/learn/utilize multiple and/or new software applications.
- Possess a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and time management skills to deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Possess clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills.
- Professional appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.
- High School Diploma or GED Required; Four (4) Year college degree preferred but not required.
- Licensed/Certified Appraiser with at least Five (5) years appraisal review experience with a servicer, GSE, FHA, VA or top 25 mortgage company or bank.
- At least One (1) year experience performing and/or reviewing appraisals for servicing, default, and/or foreclosure is preferred.
- At least One (1) year experience using Collateral Underwriter to assess valuation credibility and support is preferred.
- Active or recently expired State Licensed or Certified Appraiser.
